Solution-IV Server Recommended Hardware Configuration

Manufacturers update systems very often. Use the specifications and considerations below to find a compatible system from your hardware provider. We have had success with Dell PowerEdge and HP ProLiant systems. The following specifications are the minimum requirements for an 8-user system.
  • Dual or Quad Core Intel Server Processor (usually Xeon)
  • 8 GB memory
  • Hard disk minimum of 500GB (SCSI or SAS), or optionally RAID 1 or 5 for redundancy
  • CD/DVD ROM
  • NIC (network card)
  • Backup device (tape, removable hard disk (e.g. RDX) or you can use one already installed on your network)
  • Recommended Operating Systems are Windows 2012 or later, most current UNIX, or Linux
  • Power backup (UPS)

  • 4 GB RAM
  • Hard Disk minimum of 100GB
  • CD/DVD ROM
  • NIC (network card)
  • Backup capability
  • Recommended Operating Systems are Windows 7 or later
